Starry Dreams

Oil on gallery wrapped canvas 48 in. x 60 in.

“Starry Dreams” pays homage to the iconic masterpiece “Starry Night” by Vincent van Gogh, while weaving its own narrative. The octopus appears tranquil in its slumber, its form illuminated by the soft, silvery light of the moon. As the creature drifts into the realm of dreams, one of its tentacles begins to dissolve into the ethereal expanse above, merging seamlessly with the cosmic tapestry of stars and galaxies.

As it makes contact, the octopus undergoes a transformation, its body slowly morphing into the same celestial hues as the stars above.

The tentacle touching the galaxy above pays tribute to “Creation of Adam”, a statement of the connection the universe has to every living being down to the deep sea dwellers.
